I think one of the biggest influences will be if the insurance companies will cover people who travel that contract Covid-19 whilst away - if there are no insurers willing to cover medical costs & additional expenses relating to this particular virus then I believe this could pose a huge problem for all travel companies (especially as there is no vaccine).

Flight Centre uses Cover-more as their preferred travel insurer. The below was taken from the FAQ's on the Cover-more website. Dealing with insurance companies can be a nightmare, especially when they put in clauses like "It is a condition of the policy that you must take all reasonable steps to prevent or minimise a claim". This particular insurer has also made the difficult decision to suspend their CFAR (cancel for any reason) add on for the time being.

If I catch coronavirus (COVID-19) while travelling overseas and need medical treatment overseas will Cover-More Travel Insurance cover me?
