It may all be temporary. Last week, Easyjet (UK budget airline) removed all mask requirements. This week they had to cancel 136 flights due to lack of staff who all had Covid. British Airways had a similar
outcome.
Then; "NSW government has stepped in to exempt aviation workers from close COVID-19 contact rules in a
bid to relieve massive pressure on Sydney Airport over the Easter holidays as passengers endured a third day of long queues. Amid a critical shortage of security screening staff and other workers, NSW Health authorities signed an order to include airport workers on a list of occupations exempt from the close contact rules."
Expect lots of aviation workers to be off sick next week, *at Easter*. Imagine how long the lines will be then!
Have Flight Centre removed the mask mandate? Maybe a lot of their staff are sick?
