Yeah my feeling is more that Evergrande is the canary in the coal mine rather than one bad apple. I expect China to do everything they can to deflate rather than pop their property bubble but there will be negative flow on effects even if they do a skillful job. And the way supply chains are choking up globally, SP500 having it's worst month since March 2020, property values sky high, and general inflation threatening to rip I'm just not sure how this will go.
So the question for me is if we ignore the when, how well does FLC fare in that environment? Will there be a focus on value investing, which could be a good thing for us, or will it potentially caught in a Chinese sell off?
My crystal ball is a bit faulty and macroeconomics always sound so doom and gloom it's hard for me to work it out. Kind of just want to go cash and wait but I still see the value in FLC!
