The backlog itself doesn't count, because they haven't converted it to revenue yet. It only becomes revenue once they provide the goods and services, it's accounting 101.
Fluence don't recognise revenue until the client receives the goods .. before that it's just a contract, but no revenue recognised yet.
It's fine if you've misinterpreted what IR have told you, but you should really go call them back and confirm your understanding. Because what you are talking about is wrong and misleading.
