While I largely agree with your comments in the first 2 paragraphs re: opportunities, I have to disagree with your comment about Fluence being tested on its ability to execute on larger projects.

The beauty of the current model in China, is that Fluence are pretty much a parts supplier. Kaitian is actually the one installing the project, and they have successfully deployed MABR plants in at least 18 different sites prior to this Three Gorges project (14 sites). This is no different to any of the other 18 times Kaitian has done this before. All their sites have pretty much had the same design elements. Kaitian have also completed many other non-MABR projects China wide. There is very low risk of them not being able to execute what is a relatively small and simple installation at each site. Three Gorges has also had a different partner CREC4 deploy an Aspiral S1 in Anhui, and have easy access to validation from all the iTEST service area sites installed around Three Gorges home province of Hubei.

Fluence tests each Aspiral unit before it leaves the factory and each MABR module has a 15 year guarantee. So there is low risk on the parts as well. Assembling the 29 Aspiral containers should have only taken a few days and Fluence were likely given a long lead time. The hardest hurdle is validating MABR with the right partners to be in the consideration for these type of projects and continuing to meet effluent discharge parameters for each project. With the continued awards and presentations at industry trade-shows and increasingly more noteworthy partners, surely the awareness of the tech and list of partners in Asia continues to grow.

Fluence MABR keeps getting recognized as a leading technology within the industry. Water issues with pollution, depletion and scarcity continue to intensify worldwide. Decentralization seems to be gaining more traction. Hopefully we will see your floodgates open soon.
