This goes above the bit that you have posted to give it slightly more context.

Zhejiang was one of the first provinces in China to work on rural village revitalization from 2005.
The models they introduced successfully were then adopted around the rest of the country and recognized worldwide in 2018 with the United Nation's highest environmental honor - the Champions of the Earth Award.

Hangzhou is now taking the current 5 Year Plan and adopting their take on it.

They are taking both the requirement for rural sewage treatment, combining it with the need to have higher water reuse rates and are calling their village sewage treatment and reuse model the concept of "zero direct discharge of rural sewage villages."

This model continues to evolve each year as they build out the concept, at the moment these are still limited demonstration villages, which is why every 3 to 6 months we get various features out of the different districts in Hangzhou, each village applies the concept slightly differently, with a different architecture for their wastewater treatment plants, which end up looking like small parks with water features to fit in with the local landscape. These demonstration villages continue to be ticked off by the relevant government bodies. They will then be adopted more widely within Zhejiang Province and used as a demonstration for other parts of China to follow.

Zhejiang Tiandi as a partner has been fundamental in this. They are the partner for Fluence that has sold the widest variety of plants into China, they currently have L series models both above ground and buried, and M series models as well as a number of SUBRE models. This variety has allowed Fluence to showcase their range to various other partners. Tom Pokorsky noted in one of his talks that the MABR that Fluence has is so flexible. It allows a similar quality of treatment from a 5 m3/d installation for a few households, up to a municipal city-sized plant, so has a wide range of applications.

Zhejiant Tiandi has also started to branch out to capture some new partnerships with SOEs and create some new concepts for Fluence to leverage.



First is a 700 m3/d SUBRE sewage treatment plant for a Nuclear Power Plant.
This is non-radioactive industrial water, so will be an interesting application.
China National Nuclear Power have now been listed as a Fluence partner so if this is successful then it might be applied at some of the other nuclear plants around the country.

Zhejiang Tiandi have also managed to convince a subsidiary company of Zhejiang Communications Investment Group (the equivalent of Hubei iTEST's parent company) to install a 400 m3/d greenfield SUBRE plant at the #1 rated highway service area in Zhejiang Province. If this is successful then Tiandi may get installations at other highway service areas in Zhejiang Province.
