Just in on today's news in China. Our Director of Technology and R&D in China had won the 2021 Village and Township Water Environment Core Figure Award. This is in good recognition for our contribution to the villages and towns sewage treatment through our development of a series of MABR products and the decentralization of WWTP.

What is interesting to note is "Fully automatic operation , basically unattended operation , and the villagers can maintain it by themselves ; low energy consumption , low operating cost , and stable water quality . Currently applied in Hubei , Zhejiang , Jiangsu, Qinghai , Sichuan , Liaoning , Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and other more than 10 provinces and autonomous regions of rural sewage treatment , accumulative practice of more than 320 point source treatment , serving millions of people ."
Seems like we have covered more than 17 provinces and autonomous regions, (including Tibet which is new to me) and the presence should give us more projects now that the Covid restrictions from the past years have lifted.
There is just another point I'd wish to add. I had various conversations with my contacts in China in the last few weeks, what it seems like is Q1 of this year is still expected to be slow, primarily the finances in the provincial, villages and town levels are still tight due to much of the funds were spent in medical testing and equipment for Covid. A few days ago , Mr. Chen Xi, Director of Science and Technology and R&D of Fluence Water, won the " National Water Environment Application Innovation Core Figure Award " issued by the 12th Village Water Environment Alliance . Mr. Chen Xi has long been engaged in the research, development and engineering application of sewage treatment technology equipment in Fluence , and has more than 15 years of experience in environment and sewage treatment .
From March 09 to 11 , the 12th China Rural and Small Town Water Environment Governance Forum and Village and Town Environmental Technology Industry Exchange Conference was held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia . This forum mainly focuses on the integrated development of urban and rural areas , focusing on governance and cooperation in the field of rural and urban water environment governance . In order to commend those who have made outstanding contributions in this field and give full play to their pioneering and exemplary role in the development of the industry , the "2021 Village and Town Water Environment Core Figure Award " was awarded during the conference to commend their spirit of persistence in innovation , forging ahead bravely , and breaking through the limit .
Chen Xi , who has been deeply involved in the comprehensive treatment of water environment for many years, is the main person in charge of the development and project application of sewage treatment equipment in the company . He took the lead in developing a series of products of MABR membrane aeration bioreactors for sewage treatment in villages and towns , which solved the problems faced by sewage in villages and towns. These include the world's largest MABR upgrade case in Anhui Province with a daily processing capacity of up to 20,000 tons , and the sewage treatment plant with the largest MABR processing capacity at high altitude in Qinghai , which can process up to 3,000 tons of sewage per day . At an altitude of 4,200 meters, the MABR sewage treatment system designed for the Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture , which guards the source of the three rivers , will do its part to protect the " China Water Tower " and ensure " a river of clear water flows to the industry " .
Sewage itself is a valuable resource and a stable water source . After being treated by Fluence's complete set of sewage treatment system, it can be used for green irrigation , landscape water, and industrial water . It is an important way to alleviate water pressure and achieve the " double carbon goal " important measures . Fluence's equipment in Hubei achieves the standard treatment and reuse of more than 15,000 tons of sewage every day , which can reduce chemical oxygen demand by about 4,500 tons and ammonia nitrogen emissions by about 670 tons every year .
