Hi @ywtoh and @coopercopper, I'm of the opinion that this monitoring contract will only be very short term and as such not be required as part of any future MABR-based river remediation technology solution. From my readings I believe that the tender scope (as with this project) will only be for the procurement, installation and management of a water quality monitoring station over an approximate two month period. In our Tiandi scenario the monitoring station would be installed approximately 100m downstream from the tail water discharge of the river treatment plant. It would remotely and automatically sample COD, ammonia nitrogen and other general pollutants needed to determine the performance of the plant. As the winning bid was announced three months ago and assuming that the water discharge quality is only to be measured for a short time; and giving a generous one month station commissioning date, I imagine that Zhejiang would be very close to being able to make a decision about the river project's performance (that is dependent, however, on whether the river treatment plant has yet been commissioned?!). And so fast forward to 2021 when MABR river remediation plants blanket the banks of every river, stream and tributary in China; this little monitoring station will have been quietly removed and local governments will monitor water quality by merely counting the number of happy goldfish swimming in the pristine waters of our MABR tailwater outlets .
