There's probably a few reasons for it, the biggest being the buyers that were present a couple of weeks ago have stopped, and for some reason the brokers that pop up at 9:50 each day stack the sellside with orders. Also with all this market volatility it doesn't surprise me that profit takers have entered the mix.
