My understanding is that ORE hit a thick, new horizon of brine at depth, beneath current reserves. The sand is twice as porous and flow rates have increased from 180 l/s to 230 l/s. So it's fair to begin speculating on better than expected yields.

The exploration program for this new brine horizon targets up to 7.5 MMt LCE. For context, Olaroz has a current reserve base of 6.4 MMt. Were talking about an incredibly long life, world class resource.

Another benefit of the discovery is that expansion costs will be considerably cheaper. Future boreholes can simply be sunk deeper rather than having to move to another location at the lake to extract brine.
