If you participate in the DRP, you don't get the franking credit but only $1.47 worth of share re-invested. Assuming you distribute your dividends to someone on low income, you get the whole $2.12 to reinvest back into FMG.
In my case, my $20k odd div is distributed to my 18 y.o son whom pays me $15k for boarding at home and gets a $100 weekly allowance… lol
