I met Elvis on his 1987 Australian tour. He did a "secret" gig in the Cross, I was hanging around backstage chatting to the very obscure support act, and in walked Elvis, completely drunk. I shook his hand and we exchanged greetings before a very big pommie bouncer/roadie hustled us all out. Then I saw his proper show the following night at the Shellharbour Workers' Club, with James Burton on guitar, who had played in Vegas with the other Elvis.
