A couple of fun facts about our brand new CEO of Growth and Energy, Mr Gus Pichot ( relplacing outgoing Hutch).
Gus sounds like a likely lad.....
1. He is described as " Former Argentina rugby great"
2.Gus has been with Fortescue for 7 years (2018) as the head of our Latin American operations and has led a review of our global project portfolio.....so he will have the headstart of being well acquainted with the Fortescue business operations, methodologies and work culture.
3. He's previously established a highly successful sports media business. This experience may well be a useful skill set to have in his toolbox for future liaising with other businesses and governments. Knowing the machinations of media can lubricate negotiations!
I'm excited to follow his activities.....I suspect there will be a synergy with our resident Mr "Energizer battery" Dino Otranto and of course.....The Twigmeister!
4.. To quote Gus....."Fortescue has a clear and resolute vision to eliminate emissions and decarbonise profitably.".....I like the cut of this fella's jib!
Anyone else share my enthusiasm....or am I overegging this change?
