Yes, Ancient One, Yellow ( photocatalytic) hydrogen is significantly different from green hydrogen......
1. Green involves, first, collecting electrons from the sun via solar panels or wind turbines, and then utilising the electricity to split off hydrogen.
2. Yellow hydrogen uses the energy of the Sun dorectly in the photocatalytic process.
If you don't make that colour distinction, when you mention green hydrogen, I don't know whether you are talking about renewable energy created hydrogen, or direct Sun photocatalytic hydrogen.
It's definitely NOT "splitting hairs" in the marketing game because there is huge product differentiation in selling the 2 types of hydrogen.....in green hydrogen, massive, expensive solar and/or wind farms have to be created first in order to generate the power. Whereas, if yellow hydrogen can be perfected in productivity, the capital expenditure costs involved may be much lower, plus it may require much less property.
Anyway, Ancient One, you call it whatever you like, and then we can ask you to clarify which green hydrogen you are referring to!
