That’s why I can insinuate that the BD didn’t take into consideration all of the shareholders like BHP did.
BB is like an analogy in realestate terms, spending money on a property renovation hoping that the value has increased in value for an auction.
It isn’t producing any tangible products like Indian has mentioned or reducing debt.
More likely management trying to look good! Doesn’t EPS have an influence or is a criteria that management need to meet to get their rewards.Also if the share price increase due to the influence of BB it makes TSR look good.
As far as I can find out, not one company’s use it as deduction to when assessing management rewards.
Which is a flawed concept.
Its amounts too 'I don’t give a stuff' as long as I get an advantage from their behaviour.
That’s is what leads to corruption and arrogance of the management and BD.
I'm not implying that FMG is behaving in this manner, but historical evidence support that this behaviour is quite common amongst a few ASX companies.
