Show us an example of the board members or key management that are rewarded on EPS then if you are so worried about it.
A component of their rewards is based on TSR.
'Relative Total Shareholder Return (TSR)TSR is a measure of the performance of the Company’s shares over a three year period against the ASX100 Resources Index. It combines share price appreciationand dividends paid to show the total return to the Shareholder expressed as a percentage.'
The aim of the BB is to increase the share price and EPS, the rise in EPS should also increase dividends resulting in an increase of TSR percentage.
Theoretically, the KMP would be reward even if the business stagnant. Therefore the influence of the BB should be a deduction in the determination of the TSR percentage.
Why be rewarded for basically doing nothing!
Its not just my understanding, that EPS will increase dividends, which was strongly promoted by posters who supported the BB.
