I was just sitting listening to our guests last night sitting, standing around while my wife and I cooked and passed beers around and a few said that they were 20km away from the fire front getting ready to leave when the embers landed and started little fires that quickly merged into one very big fire. Some only just got out.
The local vets came out yesterday to check all the livestock that is staying with us and worked on a couple but other than that, all ok.
Our turn will come soon I feel as it is going to be a very long summer. Hope FMG goes into the 11s if not 12s. GLTAH
