Many people here have been watching FMG for years. I have been watching the company because I never really thought it would survive a recession.
FMG had a lot of media attention over the last 8yrs so more people are watching than you realize. Media does attract attention to the stock.
Also FMG has lost 30% of its value in 3 months, about $4 billion, that does tend to attract attention. The majority of the asx blue chip have not been effected to that extent.
FMG market competitors are not effected to the same extent.
You might find it entertaining but I find it quite alarming that investors are losing so much money in such a massive company.
