So I'm a holder of a decent chunk of FMG shares, I wish FMG would reduce the dividend payout this quarter and start buying serious diversity assets.
FFI is great but I feel like it's a bit pie in the sky. Hydro project in Africa? Green Hydrogen? No one really even thought about producing hydrogen a year or two ago, and I can't really figure out where the notion has really come from. It seems to have been developed in the board rooms of companies. It seems like it's in the same veins as the giant solar array in northern Australia and a big DC to DC line to Singapore..
But FMG is printing so much money at the moment that who cares. Even if FFI is a long gamble with an unsure future (I do have faith in Twiggy to deliver though) if we stopped the dividend and used FMG's expertise and capital to start diversifying is it ever going to be a bad thing?
FMG and CHN partnership to develop and mine the Julimar complex near Perth?
FMG just outright buying portions of other companies in different sectors?
Thoughts?
