I don't think you need to be so down on charting. It is not perfect by any means, but it is useful (IMHO) to use charts to assist in trading decisions. If you look at my post #71277001, 5th Dec 2023, just a few post above in this thread, you'll see a weekly chart of FMG with explicit BUY / SELL indicators on the chart and with the calculated gains and losses achieved on FMG using this strategy over the past few years - this charts was over 300 weeks and gave a Trading Return (TROC) of 76.3% pa with a WIN RATIO of 6 from 7 (86%). Obviously it is not always like this across all stocks, but this strategy used on FMG over that period would have delivered you this return.
My apologies, but when I cut & pasted that chart, I chopped off the timescale. Here is the chart as of today including the time axis.
My advice to everyone is to try to keep an open mind and to analyse closely what people assert. Regards
