I remember reading one of your posts the other day about you opening an options account with Commsec.
Selling puts is a strategy which is perfect for your predicament. Instead of chucking a bid into the market and waiting to see it it's filled or not, why not write a few puts down at the price you want and collect the premium while you wait?
When you eventually do get exercised and the transaction goes through, you'll own those shares at the strike price minus however much premium you've managed to collect in the meantime.
