You would think that it would be positive.
The market will decide though and there seems to be a decent sized divergence building within the broader market and the economy as we move towards the time of year when markets have a habit of puking.
The US Fed is trying to ride to the rescue before the event by the look of it.So far a 25 basis point rate cut is baked in when they meet next week and that may well boost shares in the short term providing everything stays in order up to the meeting.There will more than likely be a dovish statement to go along with the cut to boot.
Some serious volatility might be the order of the day as we move towards the September / October period.
