I think $12 is inevitable - look at China's reaction when Australia simply asked for an independent investigation into the origins of Covid-19. They went ballistic. Now they feel threatened with our submarine announcement. More retaliatory action will be inevitable in the coming weeks/months. How/if it impacts IO who knows, but the next few months won't be pretty for FMG IMHO with so much negativity from China towards Australia.
