It seems to me that the WA government owns the land and they leased it to Fortescue and also gave approval to mine it. Therefore the litigants should be suing the WA government and not Fortescue. It would be interesting if they got the $500m and it's a lay down bet they don't want to live there. Life would be much nicer in million dollar mansions in Dalkeith.
