Samboy, what Big Short mean is that you need to add 25c to the SP to do your analysis on Friday because it was ex-div day. So really a finish of $5.95 on Friday really equals $6.20, a clear break up of $6. We already have 25c locked in, regardless of what SP does.
Today we have low of $5.83, if you add 25c to the SP, we have $6.08, not really a break down under $6. It will take a few days for the "dividend" effects to fade, but with only 1 trading day after the ex-div day, most analyst will still have 25c included when doing the analysis.
