I think, as per the thread title, a one-off special dividend is possible (not sure about likely, but possible) - but they are much less likely to worry about the overall yield. This is especially true with the recent spike in SP.
They've got so many franking credits that it will definitely be looked at. The capital expenditure is budgeted, free cash flow is very high at the moment, and even if it only sustains for a couple of months it is in the hundreds-of-millions-of-dollars extra range so they need to use it somewhere (considering the lack of news on the $100m they spend on exploration I'm thinking a return to shareholders may be of better use... waiting for this to bite me on the bum with a surprise announcement in the coming days !)
