HI guys just been reading all your posts. Just a bit of an insight Im up in and Headlandand have mate working at FMG commisioning the loaders, etc. Iv been told they r having troubles with loaing there ships. The loader there using isnt actually a proper ship loader that BHP use. Its actually a stacker which is used to make stockpiles. Apparently when loading the shipsm, there having to move the ship several times to fill the actual holes completly as the stacker theyve installed does not reach fill the storage compartment properly.Instead of taking to 24-35 hours to fill a ship. Its taking 10 times that. Hence the reason for taking 10 days. They have to book the tugs which isnt cheap the move the ship backwards and forwards. As for loading 45 mill tones int the first year no way. They;ll be lucky to do 20 MILL.
