Dont know much about wash trades, but I can tell you being a commsec customer I've jumped the que (not intentionally) - today of my overall order I got three partial fills while having 3 or 4 orders before me, so like I said before Commsec does a fair bit of cross trading to its members
Either way, if the wash trades are designed to make it appear that there is more volume, then I assume that the chunks would have been a lot larger than what observed today. Given todays volume I think its just a case of cross trading
