Just to add my 2 cents to the mountain of shares discussion - and not that I am in the least bit concerned with the current number - have a look at the MSC consolidation results of late. Horrible outcome for holders there with the price now way lower post consolidation. This often happens from what I have seen. The reverse seems to happen when companies with limited stock do splits - usually results in more liquidity and higher prices.
Buy back is the best reduction strategy imo, not that I would want them to put any effort into one anytime soon. I just want them to spend their production revenue on more exploration and in the medium term - could an upgraded plant and more production be a goal? At any rate would be benefitial for the current share price if they find more gold.
