HotCopper has received a legal threat from lawyers in regards to some posts made in these threads. We have already moderated a number of these posts to avoid a prolonged dispute but in the interests of freedom of speech have kept the discussion threads open.
Can you please ensure you do not jeopardise this right by posting statements which may be construed as defamatory. It is imperative you understand how to word a post correctly within the law. We don't want any of our members to be sued for defamation. It is a very expensive exercise to defend oneself in court. If you are unsure of the rules please read our defamation guide here
Note that mandatory suspensions may occur for further breaches.

If any members feel they've made a post prior to February that they'd now like to have removed, please click 'report' on your post to ask our moderators to remove the post at your own request.

You may not have had any posts moderated, but all of you have posts that are noted in the legal complaint, so take extra care please and read the guidelines.

Also, please note that changing the name of a company is no longer an option. It's immature, and we need your posts to use civil debate and common sense instead of name calling. (e.g. Toad)
