ASIC replied to questions from Senator Georgiou at the Senate...

ASIC replied to questions from Senator Georgiou at the Senate Estimates Committee in February 2019.

The answers given point towards possible ongoing investigations into Flinders, however not the price manipulation.

When asked about shareholder complaints ASIC said:

"ASIC has received a large number of reports of alleged misconduct and concerns from Flinders Mines shareholders, including concerns about price manipulation. ASIC has considered the material on this matter."

"ASIC is not pursuing an investigation regarding price manipulation at this time, but will reconsider if there are any further developments that come to light."

Interestingly, the alleged misconduct was not mentioned as "not pursuing an investigation".

ASIC also said:

"When ASIC decides not to take further action on a report of misconduct, ASIC will generally communicate this to the reporter."

As we have not heard from ASIC about no further action we can assume they are still investigating the misconduct.
