In answer to your question.
Taiwan and the Mainland are completely different people.
They indeed belong to the same ethnic group. But are incomparable. 2 different people and at this moment in history still incompatible. Both parties are trying to find each other and that is encouraging.
The USSR got out of communism (some Russians regret it) the Mainland will get out of it one day eventually. It just takes time. I regularly read that China knows capitalism better than the capitalists.
Do they use this knowledge for the better or the worse ?
