Onya focker, plenty of supporters out here mate. Its all about fair play in the end and taking the mickey at someone elses expense is always a poor form of humour at the best of times. While one may argue about the rib jabbing jokes between Aus and NZ for example, the fact is its a level playing ground there and you give what you get, its fair enough and understood by all as we already have the relationship to handle it (wars worth of it).

However, those of us who live outside the big southern island are a tad more sensitive to the views of other cultures and can appreciate that there are no level playing fields out here, and what an Aussie may read as humour, another group may simply read as disrespect. You need to build the relationship first, level the playing field before you can start playing word games.

Sorry oorain, your joke was of poor taste, and showed lack of sensitivity to a global community (ie Shi'ite = the english colloquialism term 'shite'). I am even more bewildered than focker that it was not modded. It certainly ticked all the boxes for me...
