Howie, NEU is yet to be in any of the ASX indices, so will likely attract more shorting attention when that happens.
Joining the AllOrds is a very strong chance at the next rebalance in March given there are nearly 40 current AllOrds stocks with a market cap below NEU's (market cap is not the only criterion for joining). Joining the ASX300 may be a chance for later in the year in September, but will require NEU's market cap to at least double by the middle of the year.
Just an example below of PAR which joined the AllOrds in Mar 19, then the ASX300 in Jun 20 - hopefully NEU doesn't follow PAR's shorting or share price path!
