No, it's not off topic at all. As a rule drugs are toxic in a sense, they are taken to overcome something that could be, or is even more toxic to your system. They are powerful, concocted compounds that hopefully bring relief to the sufferer of whatever condition they have. We have come light-years in terms of quality of life, etc. in the last century and more due to great achievements made in this field.
