Everything in the markets have been tanking due to ongoing uncertainty globally. Either you trade based on price or you forget price and invest with the fundamentals of the individual company.
I'm not sure what hype you are talking about or who is wearing blinkers. IMO, the comments recently have been very informative. It is up to the individual to decide whether the facts stack up.
If you are worried about price, then trade. If you are concerned about the long term fundamentals then don't hold. You say you are a long term holder and trader. If you are trading, why are you worried about the direction of price?
