You are right MM, I think the vast majority here know of the importance of attaining Trl 6. Also yes, preliminary testing was said to have been underway back in November. I agree that some in Gle and Silex may be already aware of some early test results and i would think that the independent assessors would not be asked to start untill Gle and Silex are happy with how its running. Delays are a bad sign, yes but not necessarily game ending. For example, we know from disclosure to the nrc that gle had to shut down the test loop at one stage during commissioning due to some fault with some sort of temperature switch. I think that would have caused a delay for sure, but hey, its a temperature switch, have your safety meetings and bolt in something reliable. It doesn't mean that the tech doesn't work. My overall feeling with how the trl6 programme is going is that yes, they wanted the thing running and the assessors to have finished before the end of the year. It didnt happen. Although as far as we have been told, the thing is up and running, but the assessors won't be called in untill very early next year. If we find out that the assessors are on site doing there thing by very early next year I'll be happy enough.
