Gold might be pretty, but it's hardly a reason to own it. Would I buy a pretty car without checking under the bonnet or it's track record such as fuel consumption or resale value? Nope.
Goldbugs here are recycling the same old, we're running out, there's a shortage. There might be a shortage at the Perth Mint because business is down and they don't want inventory sitting on the shelves, but the iShares Silver ETF has unloaded 138 tonnes in the last week, there's no shortage.
I'm absolutely certain that scamsters at the Perth Mint are telling suckers to buy, we're running out , but there's more bullion dealers in jail than car dealers.
