It would appear from a news report this week that the Australian Prime Minister keeps most of his wealth in offshore funds that are based in the Cayman Islands.
Why is that I wonder, he says he pays full Australian tax.
Hmm why would a political leaders keep their money offshore??

Perhaps if their is a problem with sovereign banks the money is safe.
When the Cyprus banks went bust all the bank execs and polies had their money in offshore accounts.
Some shifted their money only a few months before the event.
