dont quite agree with your technical interpretation of the exploration effort, but certainly agree with your thrust-unlike TAS this is not a one hole programme, it is a detailed programme trying to get a feel for a number of different prospects-lets see how the results go in total before condemming the company out of hand.
On the tech points, the geo has already suggested the presence of nickel sulphides-the grade is the query.
If there isn't a sniffter I will take great pleasure in referring him to the AusIMM for suspension.
As to the priority being gold targets-the region has historic workings of both metals, however the dominant metal of historic production by value, and the one of greater investor interest (thanks to WSA) is nickel. (This excludes the Southern Cross line which is really a fair way north!).
The company may have more gold targets, but I bet the directors have their fingers crossed a bit harder on the nickel targets.
