The auction/ tender runs from Friday to Monday inclusive, so the exit by day traders is a no brainer imho. The other thing to consider is that some ppl would rather wait for the result of the auction/ tender and don’t mind paying a few pips more on Tuesday.

I agree with your assessment of the type of traders the main sellers are. Many people are risk-averse and having notched up a healthy profit, are now happy to position themselves to free-trade, or get out and buy in again on Tuesday when they know where MUS stands financially.
