Aussie govt is so stupid. It should sponser generic applications as it makes the overall health care cheaper and prevents Glaxo gouging for the next XX years. At the very least on PBS the Overseas generic price plus a set % should be the max paid to Glaxo even if it isn't lodged locally.

If DrReddys are distributing here already with other drugs they should lodge the application even if it was a net zero profit.

I just did a quick search but didn't find what I know I have read before.
Now I know Dr R have Europe rights but do we still hold rest of the world apart from USA? What happens in those other markets like Russia , Japan , China, , Asia etc I know there is a huge issue with geuine / fake drugs but there must be some genuine demand worth servicing?

Have we ever seen a exact breakdown of Glaxo sales in other countries. TGA or PBS gives Aus sales numbers idea from memory.
