I was watching the market action just prior to todays announcement, and the stock leap just prior (minutes) to the annoucement, with a huge volume of 3 million been taken out in one purchase (at 8 cents).
A suspect the geologist(and others) let his friends and family know about the pending announcement - the fact that the trade has turned against them at the moment - may mean a sell down by end of day.
Cheaper stock come close of bell.
