Today being a public holiday, and with too much time on my hands, I came to thinking about Theranos. Most of you would have heard about this company that purported to having developed a medical device capable of detecting disease in a drop of blood. We all know that this was all fraudulent behaviour and the device, other than a box with a bunch of wires and flashing lights, didn't work. The founder is currently serving 11 years in prison. BUT, I did wonder what this company was valued at. Now Theranos was not a listed US company but was valued at $10BUSD. Which led me to try and work out a theoretical valuation on AXE purely based on a hypothetically working biochip. Now these are rough ballpark calculations and I've come up with $52AUD. I'm not suggesting this is what will eventuate, just pondering the possibilities. Again, just my opinions and thoughts/wishful thinking. DYOR and as always, GLTAH.
