one reason is that the "world" will pay a higher price for our goods including those bloody great big lobsters. Ozzies won't pay $100 for a lobster etc etc. Don't blame the fisherman or farmers . They are simply getting better dollars where they can.

The question is one where we are importing cheaper goods that are subsidised by other govts. How can we compete when others are subsidised. it is total crap to allow multinationals like woolies and coles to import food items while our farmers cannot compete on labour costs, regulations and other local red tape.

But who gives a stuff in Canberra. bob Katter...love him or hate him has the right ideas on these lines. pity is no one in the labour of libs are listining.

today Heinz albeit an American Co is today announcing a shut down of food production in Australia..Why..Cost is why.. Shut down by bloody minded regualation and ever demanding unions for higher wages...not to mention those clowns in Fair Work which is stacked with union hacks.... A bloody national disgrace!!!
