I went to the bank to withdraw $50,000 in cash a few weeks ago. The bank refused me saying there are not enough deposits in the bank. The bank only holds 10cents for every dollar.
Imagine if everyone went to the bank to withdraw their money - the simply couldn't, the bank would default.

The monetary system is destined to fail.
