Interesting coattails. That Cado comment at the end is out of touch. They were not transgenic R6 mice, they were aged wild type mice. Their cognition was restored to the same as healthy young wild mice.
The R6 transgenic mouse work for PBT2 has already been demonstrated in humans, so talking about comparing old mouse tests is very much over, with a final proof of concept trial in humans about to finish.
Recent work in the mouse transgenic model has all been to investigate the MOA of improvements already demonstrated in humans.
