Dtrad...
Understand where you are coming from....'the power of dreams' can be immense.
There was a young bloke who lived next door to us for many years. He was scared beyond belief of flying. He had a job which every now and again required air travel. He had to dose himself up on sedatives before he even went near the flight gate for fear of just not getting on board. After a while he thought he had overcome this and planned a special diving holiday with his dad over in The Soloman's somewhere. The day arrived and together they arrived at the airport. The only thing is that he was so consumed with fear he could not bring himself to get on the plane and dad went alone (dad had one of his pilot mates fly over and join him).
When I was about 11 I witnessed a car accident where a small truck caught on fire. Ever since then I cannot stand to be in a car with the doors locked...I am paranoid about being trapped in a burning car, not being able to open it from the inside and others not being able to open from the outside. Like a dream, the vision is entrenched in my mind.
Maybe begin to visualise this journey you will be taking as being a very pleasant one...including the glass of red or two on board...!!
Thanks for the 'scoop'; however, we will all be waiting for your updates from Vancouver and beyond. Yes, you will be fine. You have many more years of travelling left in you yet...and many more adventures to share with us.
Cheers...
