I'm not a Collingwood supporter, but this stupid umpiring decision, coupled with the no-protest rule, destroyed both their season and their crack at the Grand Final. It shows that the only way to guarantee a victory, to compensate for flawed umpiring (AFL is the biggest culprit of all sporting codes IMO) is to be at least a "2 goals better" team than the opposition. That is an umpiring bias (at worst) of between 10 to 20% - a laughingly bad indictment, nonetheless, against the code of 'professional' Aussie Rules.

You are spot on .At the time I said this decision will cost the Pies the game. Also noticed Howe pushed in the back but Buddy marks so that is ok. The game was marred by some very bad umpiring decisions especially in regards to 50 m penalties.
