    I enjoyed footy more when players had jobs and they played for the love of it, it wasn't a career. It was bigger than it is now in terms of public interest and involvement and there wasn't Billions involved. One umpire did the 1970 GF, Jeff Crouch.

    It's a huge business nowdays, even Country footy pay big dollars for players.
